I would like to take you on an unforgettable journey along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail in Wales. This 8 day trekking tour started in Newport and took me through stunning landscapes, charming villages and along the dramatic Pembrokeshire coast. Let me walk you through the stages of this unforgettable adventure.

Day 1: Newport to Fishguard – A promising start

The first day began in Newport, a picturesque town. The hike started with a breathtaking view over Newport Bay. The ever-changing landscape, from forested hills to cliffs, was impressive. The day ended in Fishguard where I admired the sunset over the harbor.

  • Strenuous start, some steep climbs

Day 2: Fishguard to Porthgain – historic walk

The second day's walk was historically significant as I traversed the Fishguard-Fallon Trail, which commemorates the invasion of the French in 1797. I reached Porthgain, a charming fishing village, where I stayed overnight in a cozy inn.

Day 3: Porthgain to Whitesands Bay – Magical beaches and cliffs

The third day took me along spectacular cliffs and magical beaches. The descent to the dream beach of Whitesands Bay was a real highlight. I enjoyed the afternoon on the beach and admired the sunset over the ocean.

Day 4: Whitesands Bay to St. Davids – cultural hike

The fourth day was to St. Davids, the smallest cathedral city in Great Britain. On the way I passed historical sites and impressive stone formations. Arriving at St. Davids was a cultural highlight with its impressive cathedral.

Day 5: St. Davids to Solva – natural beauty and picturesque villages

The fifth day was characterized by a varied landscape and picturesque villages. The view from St. Non's Bay was breathtaking. The day ended in Solva, a charming fishing village.

Day 6: Solva to Nolton Haven – cliffs, coves and tranquility

Day 7: Nolton Haven to Broad Haven – pure coastal idyll

Day seven brought a scenic coastal hike. I enjoyed the idyllic landscape that unfolded before my eyes. The view of Broad Haven was particularly impressive. A perfect place for a rest.

Day 8: Broad Haven to Sandy Haven – farewell and summary

On the last day the path took me to Sandy Haven. The melancholy of saying goodbye was mixed with the joy of what had been achieved. I had experienced eight unforgettable days, full of adventure, nature and insights about myself.
