In which countries is Eddy's Adventure rental service available?

Eddy's Adventure currently delivers to Germany, Austria, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Belgium. More European countries will follow in 2026.

start of rental and delivery

We ship the products so that they are with you on your first day of rental at the latest. The products usually reach you 1-2 days before your first day of rental, but we cannot always guarantee this due to external DHL logistics. We recommend that you schedule the delivery of the rental products and therefore the start of the rental one day before your departure/start date. This gives you a little buffer and you can still get to know the products.

Are there shipping costs?

We ship via DHL and you will always receive a free return label for returns.

Do I have to clean the products before returning them?

No, you do not need to clean the products as we check and clean each item after the rental process.

First of all, here is the most important thing:
- Only pack products dry
- just knock or shake off very coarse dirt
- do not put any product in the washing machine or dryer
- do not use chemical cleaners

However, in order to ensure that the products can be used for as long as possible in the interests of environmental protection, we would like to ask you to ensure that the products are free of coarse dirt and sent back to us in dry packaging.

The tent, sleeping mat or sleeping bag should NOT be packed up damp after your adventure, otherwise they can quickly become moldy and damage the high-quality functional fabrics.

Please do not clean with brushes, chemicals, detergents or washing machines, as this may damage the products.

How do we deal with damage to the products?

Generally speaking, report any damage to us and don't be afraid of the consequences. We're not heartless. We'll find the best possible solution for the situation.

For us, damage caused by atypical or
improper use or violent use are the cause.

Examples of this would be:

- the tent zipper or the sleeping bag zipper gets stuck and someone tries to force it open.

- Cracks in the outer shell of the sleeping bag

- Burn holes

- Torn tent doors made of mosquito fabric

- A sleeping mat is placed on sharp stones or smooth cuts made by a knife.

- The tent floor has holes or damage because the

In the event of damage caused by unusual or improper use, we will attempt to repair it to the best of our ability. In this case, we will only charge you for the repair costs. It is important, however, that the item is restored to its original visual and functional condition.

However, if the damage is so extensive that a repair makes no sense or the product cannot be restored to a perfect condition for the next tenant, we will charge you the replacement cost of the product, i.e., the purchase price.

You can probably report this damage to your personal liability insurance and in most cases they will cover the damage.

How does the rental process work?

How long can I rent an item?

We have a minimum rental period of 3 days. You can choose the rental period flexibly in daily increments. We have a maximum rental period of 6 weeks. If you would like to rent for a longer period, please contact us and we will give you an individual offer for your duration.

What condition are the products in?

Our products are generally new, or if they have already been rented, they are in like-new condition.

You won't receive any products that are two years old, worn out, and neglected. We strive to keep the products in like-new condition.

After each loan period, the products are checked, repaired, or replaced with new products if there are major defects.

Safety-relevant products, such as climbing harnesses, etc., are subject to a separate inspection (visual and tactile). Our employees are trained to perform this inspection.

Is the equipment checked and cleaned after each rental?

Yes, the equipment is always cleaned after each rental, whether it is a backpack, tent, sleeping mat or sleeping bag.
We use biodegradable cleaners that have as little impact on the environment as possible. If you see water stains on products, these are not dirt, but an indicator that the surfaces of a tent or sleeping mat, for example, have been cleaned. The drying process then occasionally leaves water stains.

Our sleeping bags are cleaned with a down detergent.

Safety-relevant products such as climbing harnesses etc. are subject to a separate inspection (visual and haptic). Our employees are trained for this inspection.

Is there a group rate when renting several of the same products?

Yes, you can rent several tents, several sleeping bags, several sleeping mats and other accessories. We can calculate a group rate for you if you contact us about this. Just email us at info@eddysadventure.de or call us at +49 441-35042938.

Buy-out/Purchase of the rented equipment

Yes, you can also buy your rented products at a discount, with your rent being credited towards the purchase price.

Yes, you can also buy the borrowed items if you want to keep them and not return them to us.

At the end of your rental period, you will generally receive an email with a link to your login area. Here, we will provide you with your personal buy-out price, at which you can purchase your product. Of course, you can then keep the product immediately and do not need to return it to us.

Alternatively, you can also contact us in the traditional way if you would like to purchase a product you have rented. We will then offer you an attractive special price for your items, since you have already used them.

Payment and cancellation

What payment methods are offered?

We offer payment by credit card (Mastercard and Visa) and PayPal.
Google Pay and Apple Pay are also possible.

Can I also cancel an order if something has changed for me and what costs will I incur?

You can cancel your order/booking up to 5 calendar days before the scheduled start of the rental. The invoice amount you paid will be refunded in full to the payment method you used. This process can take up to 3 days.

Are returns always free?

Yes, returns are always free with us to make the return process as easy as possible for you. If the return label doesn't work or is missing from the package, please feel free to email us at info@eddysadventure.de or give us a call.
